
Annette K. Baser has shown her landscape paintings
both close to home at venues such as New Britain Museum of Art and
afar, most recently at ther Zigler Museum in Jennings, Louisiana.
Her paintings are in private collections across the country. She
works from her studio at the Farmington Valley Arts center in in
Avon, CT within a creative and nurturing community of fellow artists.
Annette Baser has chronicled her contemplative journey
primarily through oil paintings and monotypes. Her travels have
afforded many wonderful locations of interest, yet she takes great
delight in the beauty of the Farmington River Valley. She is drawn
to scenes that communicate a spiritual dimension. Aristotle said
it well, "The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance
of things, but the inward significance."
Annette Baser holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree
from Moore College of Art and has also studied at Silvermine Art
School, Lyme Academy and Oxford Polytechnic in Oxford, England.
